Inspired by the sounds, moods, and feelings of the great French
capital, Mini Tenor Records' Paris Vu Par is funky gem of am internacional
pop compilation. The record skips through styles the world over,
never stopping to come up for air like the writhing bodies on
a Paris disco floor.
This compilation of french nouvelle vogue has 12 excellent tracks
from the likes of Baxendale, The Cherry Orchard,
White Town, and other jetsetting stars of the internacional
underground scene, it is difficult to pick some mp3s from this
record which is a mixture of avantdisco and greysky pop that will
tickle the senses.
2 tracks stood out to our editors though, and the rest of the
staff agreed. The first track (and indeed the first track on the
record) comes from Germany's Le Hammond Inferno, veterans
and indeed masters of the internacional scene (the DJs behind
the inferno are also the founders of Deutschland's number one
record label, Bungalow Records.
The other is from a genuine new artist who goes by the perfect
name of Spacehonky. He is a Californian inspired by the
Parisian scene, who has just one other single out on Japan's Escalator
records.
The Spacehonky track is almost perfect-- just a pure slice of
electrofunk, heavy on the electro with a dark disco undertone.
This track should be listened to in a very dark room, preferably
at high volume with several beautiful people dance the robot as
if their life depended on it.
The Le Hammond Inferno track is a crunchy bit of Japanese-like
club pop, with sampled guitars and a big beat that will move you
down the road at maximum pop velocity. One of the most purely
fun tracks to come from Germany since the last Stereo Total record.
Enjoy these exclusive mp3s from your friends from Mini Tenor
and USOUNDS-- le internacional.
