The above portrait is of a former USOUNDS employee named Rex Washington. All writers who work here for more than two months have their portraits commisioned. Rex wrote the famous "Stinky Cowboy" country music review column. We pause today in honor of Rex's birthday. For those new readers out there, Rex was fired in January of 1996 for a piece he wrote on Garth Brooks. The article prompted an avalanche of email over Washington's characterizations of Brooks as "a commercial music whore" and a "fat midget." But we all make mistakes. We know many of you would like to see Rex's hilarious and hard-hitting column again, so please help us in our petition with the owners of USOUNDS, and vote below.
