Midnight Movies ‘Patient Eye’ Single; Album In March
As a general rule, lead singers named Gena are hot
Patient Eye will be available as a digital single beginning October 24, 2006 on iTunes and other locations. The song, culled from Midnight Movies forthcoming full-length, Lion The Girl, is a little slice of psychedelia right here on Earth that combines haunting melodies and sexy female vocals that may remind you of Laetitia Sadier. The single will be accompanied by a cover of Syd Barrett’s “Golden Hair.” Guitarist Larry Schemel explains: “We’ve always loved the way Syd Barrett adapted this James Joyce poem into a very ominous yet delicate kind of hymn.”

The Slip’s new album Eisenhower will be out November 7th on Bar/None. Check out the mp3’s for Even Rats and Children of December. Also, look for tour dates with The Lovely Feathers and mi chaqueta de mañana.
