Bob Pollard to Open for Pearl Jam

Robert Pollard is calling his latest band The Ascended Masters. The Ascended Masters will be opening for Pearl Jam on the following dates:

June 23 - Pittsburgh, PA - Mellon Arena
June 24 - Cincinnati, OH - US Bank Arena

(Pearl Jam also has shows scheduled with Sonic Youth and My Morning Jacket.) Eddie has been rumored to be a huge GBV fan and the new PJ album could reflect that. Or not.

Who knew that Vedder has an affinity for avocados? There is also a bonus video track that features a hard core Mexican gang covering Eddie in guacamole. It's kind of weird...
